... even if someone rises from the dead ...
“If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.”
So …
What are some of the implications of this statement?
What does it mean to “listen to”? - Clue: Gen. 3:17 and Deut. 6:4
How can someone “listen to” Moses and the Prophets today?
- Moses = Torah = Pentateuch = Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy
- Prophets = Nevi’im = Joshua, Judges, Samuel, Kings, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Hosea, Joel, Amos, Obadiah, Jonah, Micah, Nahum, Habakkuk, Zephaniah, Haggai, Zechariah, Malachi
Oh yeah, … Who rose from the dead?
Did he (btw: though the words seem to come out of Abraham’s mouth, Jesus was teaching this parable) really mean this for us?
Uh, … yep, I think so … actually, I’m 100% sure that Jesus meant it for us.
